We had to walk up most of the fairways to find the pin which made the round take a little longer (two and a half hour round) but both Zak and I are fairly fast players and we only threw multiple shots a few times. I missed 3 or 4 birdie opportunities and maybe took two unnecessary 4's but overall a fairly good round. Zak lost a teerex on hole 9 in the water. I hit the basket on hole 18 and went OB in the water right behind the pin. For those that have never played, hole 18's green is very narrow (you can't see the water behind the pin from the tee), and hole 3 is a bushwhacker hole. Shooting in the 40's is possible but there will have to be some magic involved. Loved the course. Epic place to spend some time. Beaver Meadows is 11 miles past Sundance Trail.

I can hold up to 6 on the scooter, but 5 will need to run along side me ;D; and we'd probably not get there 'til Monday. I'd appreciate a lift and I can kick in some g-$ to whoever drives. I think there will be more people going up that haven't been active in the forum... Jep, Erick D, Dan B,...?

Hi Shawn,
You would make number three counting me, so I should have room for one or possibly two more.

Great round Doug!
What did you do on 16, the one that angles around to the right? How did you play it?
Just curious, what would you rate the course on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best. And why?

Thanks Todd, KC, and Rich, it felt good to play solid golf again. On 16 I played a midrange disc up the middle of the 6 ft fairway and hit some trees fairly early, forehand upshot that I left short and right and then up and down for the 4. Zak threw a forehand off the tee that almost made it out of all the trees. That is a tough hole. I would rate the course a 4 or 5. Its great that where the course plays the only thing that area is intended for is disc golf. That is the biggest selling point for me. There are a good mixture of holes and Zak and I commented back and forth to each other many times how Beaver Meadows course makes you think on just about every hole you play. I love the elevation changes and the water. It will be interesting to see how the course "breaks in." Hole 3 needs broken in with about 5,000 tee-shots in order to be a good hole in my opinion. The tee-pads will get more packed down and smooth which will also be good. The only reason I would rate it a 4 is just because of the break-in factor. Absolutely loved the course. Great baskets too. Zak mentioned having a more elevated tee on 17 might be nice but I kinda like it the way it is. Hole 3 may be better by hiking up near the road to tee instead of the "fairway" that is there now. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing and I probably wouldn't even change those things. There is definately potential for longer tees/pin locations.

It looks like a couple of us Boulderites are going to go up tomorrow to get a campsite. Probably play a round, then play a couple on Sunday too. I have Monday off, and might want to stay an extra night, depending on the ride situation. We will be rolling with a couple dogs. Let me know if anyone wants to camp as well. John- 720.320.4817

Ahhhh....the forum; a place of perpetual misinterpretation....So, uh...yeah, I was quoting one of my favorite movies of all time..."Tombstone"...guess neither of you two have seen it? So, any inuendo you're brewing up is in your derelict minds...not mine. I'm your huckleberry = I'm game. Watch the clip below...one of the best movie lines ever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx1TWk-V4P0
