It's that time of year again! Beautiful and brisk fall mornings means great speed rounds. Ran one yesterday morning before work and shot a 52 in 19:58. Pretty good considering I haven't run one of these since before Gr8tful. Gonna start doing these again. I forgot how fun and brutal these are.

Ran a speed round this morning. Shot a -3(51) in 21:15.82. Had a double bogey on 11 that held me up for about a minute and a half or more. Once I knock out that one lousy hole, I'll be cruising at a better pace and won't have to stop to determine whether my disc is retrievable, or not. Thanks to the discologist for retrieving my Buzzz from the lake. I should also say thanks for the other two discs you returned to me. Thanks )!!!

Ran a speed round after leagues (and a few beers) last night and shot a 53 in 20:39 ! Even crazier, that's one stroke better than my league round ;D. I had to speed walk holes 12 & 13, so I think my time could have been better. If I knock out the beers I think I could even improve my score .

God, I'm the only loser who runs and plays disc golf, huh? Ran a speed round on Saturday at CLP (in a light drizzle) and shot -6 in 11:45. Time wasn't all that great, I was at 6:05 after the first 9, so I made some time in my second. There were quite a few folks out there, so that slowed my first go-round, but they all cleared out on the second (hence the better time). It was pretty tough trying to dry off my disc while running. If you are interested in trying a speed round, this is your course. Short, and fairly empty. Come on! Someone else join my loser club;o)

The loser strikes again! Ran a speed round at CLP today-8/10:51. Went OB on hole 8 twice (! Had to fish my disc out of the middle, and that ate up quite a bit of time.

Alright... I played my first speed round of the year last night after league at Edora. I think I'm a little out of shape! Shot -3 (51) in 21:30. Not a great time or score, but sadly it was better than my league round... of course. I'll have to work on that time - I think sub-20 minutes is what you want at Edora. Maybe I need to train at CLP. I'm going to be up in Redfeather a lot this summer, so I'll have to set some times up there... Beaver Meadows is going to be brutal!

Shot a 55 in 2 hours @ leagues, last nite. Shot a 50 in 20:02, afterwards (in the dark!)! Absolutely silly;oS

Shot -3 (24) in 9:32 at Fort Collins High. Pretty decent... I chained out left on 4 birdy putts, but birdied a few of the longer ones like 3 and 6. You have to cover some ground inbetween holes there, so I think that's fairly solid time. What's your best out there Jeff?

Last week, I ran a couple of nines @ Boltz as it was getting dark. Shot -4 (23) in 7:34 and -2 in 7:40. So that's 15:14 for 18, though I did take a minute break in between nines. That's a pretty good course for speed rounds. Most of the tees are close to last basket, and you can throw the same disc / shot for most of the holes.

15:14 @ -6 That's pretty wicked! I'll give it a shot some time this week. As for FCH, I don't even know what I shot, or my time. I know I was above par and sucking wind;o) Those tees are WAY far apart! I want to give FCH another shot.

Went up to Buckhorn today and played that course for the first time. After playing two rounds I decided to run a speed round. 23:18- 54(par)! Felt like I was out there for 30 minutes! I was sucking wind by hole 3 and had a wicked cramp from hole 9 till the end. This course could easily be played closer to 20 minutes, with a better score. I kept on loosing my drives, because I had to really watch my footing while running after them. Cool course and at 8500 ft. it is a brutal/fun speed round.

Is that the new Buckhorn speed round record? Or the only Buckhorn speed round?

The one and only;o)! It's the record, but it's a record that could EASILY be broken.
