Ok, here's what I know about course records in the NoCo.
KC is right when he says that we always have long messed up layouts come tournament time, so none of those rounds from Grateful Disc and other tournaments like that over the years really count. League rounds are recorded and should count toward official records I would think.
Edora: Official Record, not sure. I think a couple people have shot -14 (40) in league play before. Maybe Chad Johnson and / or Dave Herman. The Unofficial Record - my personal best is -15 (39) in a casual round. The course was layed out in mostly long pins, believe it or not. I have also witnessed A.J. Kolarsick shoot a -15 (39) in a casual round at Edora. I'm pretty sure A.J. and I hold the official Doubles record for Edora, as we recorded a -17 (37) a few years back in weekly doubles. We missed hole 16 in the easy left pin. (doh!)
Sundance Trail (Red Feather Lakes): The official record is -6 (48) shot by Jeff Layland in the Grateful Disc tourney in 2007. As far as I know, the unnofficial record is -7 (47) which I have shot twice casually (in back-to-back rounds).
Beaver Meadows (Red Feather Lakes): Mike Gomez shot a 52 (-2 ?... not sure what we're calling par up there) in one of our monthlies last year. That is still the best that I know of, although it was before the most recent batch of changes to the course layout... so maybe there is no real record there yet.... ?
Local 9-Hole courses:
Boltz: I think -6 (21) is the best I've seen in a tourney. Unofficially, not sure, Pat Lien might have told me he went 9-for-9 out there once, -9 (18).
Fort Collins High School: Anybody? Good score? Claim that record!
CLP (Laporte): I know myself and others have gone 9-for-9 out there on occasion, -9 (18). Has anybody done it on back to back nines there? My best is -15 for consecutive nines. Anybody had an ace and shot -10 for the nine? That's the place to do it!
Any other courses? How about Estes Park? Anybody who can add info or correct me on any of this stuff should join in. There are a lot of great golfers in the NoCo, who knows what they've all shot over the years.
Peace - Evan Brummet

I shot -8 at Boltz for nine holes officially ...never -9. Shot -15 there for two back to back rounds. Personal best at Edora in a casual round is -13 and league play best is -12. I do know that Dave Herman once shot a -10 on the back nine at Edora with an ace on hole 17 but I don't remember what he ended up total for that round. Where is that guy by the way!? Our old Prez has disappeared.
What about FoCo high school...my best there is -6 on the new layout

There was a Herrmann sighting just today at the Hole 1 tee!
I have a witness, too. Just ask B.
Yes, I was quite surprised and delighted as well!

Got 2 aces at CLP today, in 36 holes! Aced hole 6 from the regular tee and hole 2 from a safari tee that I like to play. If you don't play safari rounds at this course when it's slow, YOU'RE CRAZY! This course can actually play pretty tough. Here's my "back 9" at CLP: 1- walk off of 9 to the pole and throw to hole 1- there's a great opening there 2-walk off of 1 and look to the left and there is a stump, throw from behind it. There should be 3 trees right in front of you (this is the spot that I aced today. Broke through the bushes) 3- walk off of 2 and go up on the grassy knowle (sp?) and throw to 3's basket 4-go back to hole 2's basket and throw to hole 4 5-throw from the bike path at the corner of the fence (Can you say hyzer?) 6-go into 7's fairway and and look for the fallen tree ( not the one at the tee for 7) and throw from the flat ground behind that. This is a really fun and really tough shot, lots of potential to go into the river(which is crazy full right now) 7-throw from 6's basket to 7's basket. Again, another really fun and really tough shot 8- just go back to the clearing behind 8's regular tee. It's kind of sketchy ground, holes/uneven/etc. 9-walk off of eight and cut through by 4's basket to the bike path. Look for the big stump and throw from there. I throw from the bike path. If you do, PAY ATTENTION for bikers. Some of them come flying around that corner. I played with a FLX Buzzz and a putter today. Don't be a whimp and play with a driver. Make this a little harder on yourself:o) I shot a -20 overall on the 36 holes, and that was alternating regular layout ( I always play hole 1 long) and this safari layout. If anyone else has a good layout there, let me know. I'd love to play a something different.

I just got done with a 200 hole weekend! Then I played 1 hour of tennis with Ev just for good measure. Yes Ev won I had a chance at 10- with the ace I had on #1. *- is the best I've done at Boltz in the tourney scene. I am looking for any low # tag matches.

OK, back on the marathon disc golf track. I played 234 holes this last weekend. I was sighted at Thompson river valley, CLP, Ft Collins high and Edora of course. I got to play with people visiting from Texas and Georgia. I shot 15 under at CLP using just one disc. I'll see you guys out there in two weeks for another epic weekend.

Okay, back to this scoring records discussion (I'm behind as usual) I agree that it is hard to keep records with Edora changing positions all the time, and not only that, our course has changed character as well. There have been at least 2 or 3 significant changes since I have lived here (3 years) When I first moved to town, hole 6 and 8 were gone, and we used to have to make up 2-3 extra holes just to get in 18. Then we had the 2 holes after 13 that played up and down the hill, and we would play 6 to 7 sometimes as our 18th. Then we got 6 and 8 back, but of course they play different than in the past (so I have heard, I never saw the course before they changed the terrain of 6/8's fairways. Then we lost tee boxes for 13/14, which we just got back, but I feel 14 may play harder than before (definitely different) when we teed from the sidewalk, and most definitely different than the previous tee box before the sidewalk. 13 is basically the same (maybe 10-15 feet closer) When I did results for SPM this year, I used the title of SPM tourney layout for the course description to try and keep things accurate and help to establish a true SSA for our course (at least one of the setups) We played the same baskets each round, and I would like to play the same layout every year to keep with the building of this SSA. Of course, now we have tee boxes on 13 and 14, which we did not have in March, and we did not play 12 across the street, so things will always be a little different. It is really hard with a course that changes so much. As for personal records, I have nothing to brag about because I am no good.

I shot my personal best -6 at Fort Collins High for 9 holes today. I missed holes 3, 5, and 6. I think it is currently possible for me to shoot a -7 or -8 with my current distance but to shoot -9 i would have to throw one in from over 30 feet on hole 6. Hole #3 i am close to putting on in the circle and hole #5 I have parked. Just have to link them all up.

I shot a perfect round at Fort Collins High for 9 the other day with just a Super-Hero fastback. B and I were playing a super-class round... I birdied the only two holes that are reachable with that disc (7 & 9) and 3'd all the rest, for a -2 (25). I challenge anyone to match that score... super-class style!

I don't know if I would go as far as to say "perfect". If they were reachable then ace would be perfect.....no? But i will say excellent round. I will try with a lid sometime before school starts.
