I shot -3 at Water Works in Kansas City with just a putter, in about 35 minutes. If you've played the course... that's pretty good... and pretty fast considering the hills. If you haven't played the course, check it out next time you're in KC, it's one of my favorites.

I am working with a few international students. One Phd student from India and three exchange students from France. I have been bringing them to CLP at lunch and the first three trips we made I aced. I just brought them out for our fourth visit and I failed to ace. They were sure I was off my game :>) It is the first any of them had played the game and they are all hooked. good stuff.

3 times in a row at CLP eh? Nice! Sounds familiar... I once aced hole 7 at CLP 3 consecutive rounds (over two days)... all 3 with an old Discraft Phantom! I remember I was out there with my girl at the time... that is a great place to take beginner players, nice work Dougie! On a seperate note, I played well enough the first round of the GMO tourney in Vermont last weekend that I got to play my second round with Markus Kallstrom and Cale Leiviska (2nd and 3rd at Worlds last year!). Of course, I stunk that round, but I got to pretend I was on their level for a little while. Good times!

Soooo... there should be more posts on this thread... certainly you'll have something to brag about...
How about this... I was practicing putting yesterday, and first try, I made 4 putts in a row from 20 feet with my eyes closed! Pretty cool... now if I could just make all those putts in a tournament with my eyes open!

Today I went to CLP and ran a speed round of 36 holes. Ran it in 27:49 and shot a -23!!!! Pretty fun just upshot and putt round. Not super fast, but a wicked good score(in my opinion).

I broke my 1-1/2 year ace dry streak yesterday at Boltz. I skip aced hole 4 with a Destroyer. I'm pretty stoked because it's a pretty big ace, at least 350'--almost double the length of all my previous aces!

A couple of years ago in North Carolina I was playing in a weekly tournament that had paid out 200+ bucks for an ace 1 week before. The event I was in had 8 players in the ace pool due to BAD WEATHER. Hole #1 - Flick Ace 175ft. Hole #2 - Birdie. Hole #3 Flick Ace 225 ft. 2 aces in 15 minutes . 5 under after 3 holes. - 14 for the round = $8 Still one for the books.

OK. Thanks for shedding light on that for me, there's a lot of good stuff in there for sure. What about something as far as an official records keeping system for the club? Or a spot on the profile pages to jot down your best scores. I'm just curious as to the rounds that are being recorded. Thanks again. Good ideas! As for the profile pages, to conserve bandwidth and server space, I opted for hosting these forums outside of our main site. Due to this I only have basic abilities to change the forum's (hence the profiles) capabilities. Eventually, once the club's size and site traffic warrants it, I'll integrate the forums with the site itself and we may be able to do more of that kind of thing. One other issue you may find is that with scoring records, they vary dramatically depending on the course setup (on courses like Edora with multiple placements, that is). If we had a system where we always moved the baskets to the same combination of placements every time they moved then we could do this. Then you could say, "I shot a -16 on the *C* placements", or "I tore it up with a -6 on the *A* placements today". I am in favor of this setup, but it would require a course manager to keep on the tee signs and move baskets consistently every week or two. We would also need to re do the tee signs. Check out discgolf.com for a way to record your scores and see any scores people may have posted for a course. Last I checked people weren't updating their scores very often. Another spot that has popped up where people are recording scores as well as calculating handicaps is Disc Golf U, which looks like it has lots of potential. KC

Do you have a record of the best score shot in a tournament at Edora. I know what you're saying about the multiple placements, but if there were at least tournament records those scores would truly be "official" no matter what the placements. Although it would open mass debates about the level of difficulty when recording a score at least we could see what kind of scores are possible. About the layout, that sure would be a lot of work for someone to move the pins on a regular rotation, but super nice. I would volunteer to help in a second if I lived in FtC.

CBass, We have an Event Results page with scores from many different divisions at various events throughout the last 3 or 4 years. This may be a good starting point. One thing to take note of is that with NOCO tourneys, we have some **Demented** TD's (spoken with pride!) who set up wicked nasty extras and extended regular holes to challenge the players, so many tournament scores are from 21-25 hole layouts. This is not all tournament rounds, though, and some scores in the Event Results page are from the normal 18 at Edora. One occasion where we have played the regular 18 consistently though, is Summer Leagues. With the exception of the couple years when we didn't have holes 6-8, these scores normally reflect a standard 18, shot by a player in singles format. Since this is the bragging board... I'll say I shot a 41 (-13) on the regular 18 at Edora last year during Summer League play!!! ;D Alas, I imagine someone else has shot a better competitive round score than that, and I know there's been better rounds shot in casual play. Chad Johnson and Doug Allen have both had some hot league rounds throughout the years. Anyone else have input on this?

just a quick note on scores- you can go to the pdga and search course statistics and the s.s.a. will show up of every recorded sanctioned round held at that specific course. Just looking at Edora on there shows that scores (s.s.a. which = the average score a pro would shoot rated at 1000) were anywhere from 41-62 all depending on the layout. It tells you how many holes were played and at what level of difficulty, i.e. short, medium or longs. Hope that helps.
