maybe I am looking in the wrong thread, but I don't think I have seen much about this event. I was wondering since there were upwards of 55+ players last time and with this event being considered a must play, are extra baskets needed? I have a Discatcher Sport with a 2nd set of chains if needed. I thought I heard someone mention last week that they were considering setting up some of the "old" holes over by soccer fields. Also I have heard a couple of random chuckers out at the UNC course saying they were planning on playing. Just let me know if you blasters need me to bring my basket.

I think Brandon is looking for some people to bring some baskets for extra holes. Talk to B. I think we are gonna set up a few holes over on the old section of the north west end of the park.

I don't got the machines # but I will just put it in the back of the ride anyways. I'll try to get there early so the hole is up for practice, but I don't drive so I gotta convince my cabbie to wake up early. Hope I can help!

Yeah, we are going to need at least 4 baskets for Sunday. Anyone who can help that would be great. Metal baskets are best but we'll see what we get.
Also, B and I wanted to move some of the baskets but we only have the key for some of them. The word on the street is that Doug and B-Mac have keys to some of those ones like 6,7,8, and 13,14. If you guys can help with that issue that would be great. Get in touch with B or me.

I'll bring my skill shot as well, although I think they are worthless for competitive play.

I'll bring two portables, I think I can unlock 6&7, 8 I can't, and 13 and 14 from memory I can't unlock. In my opinion 6,7,and 8 are in their toughest palcements which is good for a course like edora. It would be sweet to move 13 to a gnarly position and maybe play an uber long tee for 14 only if the weather deters alot of other park users. See ya'll in the morning

Thanks B and Lance and everyone else that helped run the event. I propose that the club buy a laptop and I will write the spreadsheet in excel to be able to do Leagues and tournaments by entering them directly into the laptop with tag #, division, ace pool, etc and then when scores come in just plug them in and it will kick out results, which tag # everyone gets etc and then we can even upload it to the website for everyone to see. I know I was tired getting home after 8pm last night. The Denver guys were dreading the drive back. That might be the best way for us to improve the smoothness of our tournament running and it will also lighten the load for those who have to run leagues or tournaments. I would recommend a laptop equipped with 2007 excel if we choose to purchase.

Thanks B, Lance, KC, Dan, Shannon and anyone else that helped out. I had a great time even though I was fairly numb the last few holes. Unfortunately due to the weather and some other registration issues the tourney lasted until 7 with awards until 8 but thats something that we can learn from and improve on as the Monthlies progress. God d**n I can't wait for months and months of nice weather! Congrats to Evan and Dan for keepin it together out there!

Yeah big thanks to B and all who helped. We should switch up the TD responsibilities for these monthlies, so B doesn't have to run every event. At the very least, we need to take a more active role in helping him.
I really agree with the lap-top idea, a simple excel spread sheet will really speed things along. If the club wants to buy a cheap laptop, fine, but if not, we can use my laptop or I'm sure there are other people who have some too.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who came out, especially everyone from out of town! Good battle Dan! Great to see the condor playing well lately! Peace - Evan

At the very least, we need to take a more active role in helping him. Hear, Hear! If everyone helps a bit, no one gets burnt out... Someone left without their tag after the Meltdown. If it was you, just PM or email me and we'll find a way to get it back to you. kc@nocodiscgolf.comKC

Yes, running that event was brutal on my game thanks to Lance who stepped up huge helping with scores and signups , and to all others who assisted, Dan, Doug, KC, Brian, Shannon, Peggy, and anyone else who brought a basket, or anyone who shook my hand and said thanks for running the event, these are the things that make it worthwhile. I do think that a laptop would really speed things along for scores and cut the time between and after in half at least, then maybe I would have time for a warm-up drive or putt, and time to chew my lunch , that is something we should discuss along with delegating jobs for others to help speed things, like maybe splitting am and pro signups and payouts btw ppl or something. I don't think anyone thought we would be getting the turnout for these that we have, nearly 90 ppl for SPDM, a few more heads and we would have had to turn ppl away, don't know what were going to do when good weather arrives, with only 18-21 holes on our course, only so many can fit. We should discuss these things at our next meeting, soon?? Peace.

I wrote the spreadsheet yesterday and today. It is pretty sweet, I sent the first edition to KC to play around with and if anybody else is interested, let me know. I think it will save a ton of time. A click of a button to rank players or sort all the tags at the end. It also figures out payout. Nobody should have to run a tournament with out something like this. Alls we need now is a laptop with excel at the tournament.

Hey B, how about those results? We should get those posted (here and on Mile High). The folks on the MH forums were itching for some results. A lot of people don't even know what place they finished. (I do) When you get the time B...
