Coming soon to a course near you on the Western Slope of Colorado, the 2011 State Championships.
More specifically to the City of Fruita and the Town of Palisade.
Yup you read that right folks. The Colorado State Championships has returned to the Western Slope. 2008 was a huge success and 2011 will be even better. Why will it be better you ask?
Well, a lot has happen since 2008. We will have a brand new course, in the wonderful city of Fruita, CO. Known for it's mountain biking and festivals, they will now be known as one of the host cities for the 2011 Championship. This course will have distance, tight tunnel shots and some really fun elevated shots. Also there will be some interesting terrain.
Online registration is live for this event. Please click www.gvdiscgolf.org/events/2011costates.php to go to the registration page. Once there you will be able to register for the event, and see that planned schedule for the event.
This years event is going to be on October 15th and 16th, 2011.
PROS will play two rounds of 18 at the Fruita Riverfront DGC on Saturday, the AMS will play two rounds of 18 at Riverbend PArk in Palisade on Saturday. The PROS will move to Palisade on Sunday for a Final round that will include 27 holes. AMS will play their final round of 18 holes at Fruita Riverfront DGC and still have time to head over to Palisade to watch the PROS finish out.
Awards will follow the final round at Riverbend Park in Palisade.

There is a State Park that offers camping, along with three good hotel choices, Motel 8, La Quinta and Comfort Inn. Also a variety of food choices, like Munchies and Hot Tomato to name a couple.
