I drove by yesterday and it looks like the baskets are in!! I have never played out there and I was wondering how it is layed out? I saw that #8's tee box was laid out on the sidewalk, is this how all the teeboxes are? Im planning on going to go check it out tonight so if you have any feedback let me know!

I just went and played there today, at lunch. Everything looks great, as far as the new baskets. There was a guy out there painting new numbers and lines for the tees. That Eagle Scout really did his research. He deserves a HUGE thanks from the club!!! I highly recommend that people get out there and play it, if they haven't before. Best 9 hole in the Fort.

Went out and played it tonight! You are right that is a great course. They really got some length on those holes! I didnt look around too much, but I couldn't find holes 1-4? Are they on the other side of the school?

I typically start at hole 3. It is located in the parking lot on the north side of the school. If you pull in at that Shamrock Station and turn right into the parking lot of the school, you should see some baskets. 1&2 are located on the east side or behind the school. Once you finish hole 9, walk up and take a right at the track and football field, then hang a left and follow the wall all the way to the corner and you will see the box, for hole 1. Don't know if any of this makes sense, hopefully it helps.

Just wanted to say thanks to Evan, Bryan, KC and the rest of the club leadership for working so hard to replace the missing baskets at FCHS. It was a great use of club funds, and it's one more example of how NOCO can partner with various people / entities to make a difference. Thanks also to the Eagle Scout, Arthur Fusco, for his research, hard work, fine workmanship, and cooperation with the club.

Looking forward to trying out the course. Thank you again to our leadership for making this possible. Hopefully the baskets will not get ruined or stolen again.

Just played the course yesterday at lunch... awesome to have a 9 hole a stone's throw away from the office!
Some fun holes on an amazing high school campus... kids these days, lol
Thanks to everyone who made this happen! It's very fun to see the results of club dollars, and they were dollars very well spent

Played the FCHS course on Saturday and enjoyed the challenge. I did notice that a couple of baskets are already broken, one basket (can't remember the number) where the basket welds are broken, and hole 7 tips where the hoop is holding the basket from tipping. We should get these fixed before more damage is done and they need to be replaced.

Hey Todd.
Glad you enjoyed the revived FCHS course! Just having all 9 baskets there is a huge improvement. Before Sunday, I hadn't played a round there since probably spring/summer of last year.
So the baskets that are broken have been like that for some time now. The course vandalism had been getting progressively worse for the last couple years, which culminated with some baskets getting stolen. We decided that instead of letting the course fall apart and eventually get removed, we'd rather donate some club funds and energy to keep it there. It's hard enough to get approval and land to use, why let it go once you have it?
So the replacing of three baskets, this time with durable, public-park quality ones, was the first priority. The next step will be up to either the school or the incoming leadership team, whoever that ends up being.

Thanks KC....I agree that having the course up is the important thing. I am also glad to hear the baskets were already broken and not that they had been broken in the first week It is great to have another 9 for variety and to reduce the congestion.
