We should start a club Discaroo disc swap

I was out on Discaroo the other day looking at all the available disc that people want to swap. The website is a very cool idea and a great way to exchange plastic that you do not use for something you will use without taking a big loss by trading in your disc.

It occurred to me that we should start our own club Discaroo type disc swap. We could use the forum or the website for our members and visitors to see who has disc available for swap. I think there would be a lot of interest and it would be a good way to recycle those disc in your closet or trunk that never see the light of day. We could even talk to our buddies in Mile High to get more local people and more disc in the mix. What does everyone think?

I don't know what it would take to get that set up on the site right now, but we could start with posts in the forum and go from there.

I think a cool variant of this idea would be to do a swap meet day. Like for the next monthly at Beaver Meadows, everyone could bring their unwanted plastic/bags/minis/whatever and spread everything out and trade away.

Sounds good to me. Now we need to figure out when and where??

To keep the swap going we still could add something to the forum. It would be a lot more traffic but we could add another section just like Lost and Found where members could add disc that they want to trade and what disc they would be interested in.

Thanks KC for your input and willingness to modify the site a bit. I think we could get some good trades and allow members to try some disc that they have interest in and get rid of others. Worse case scenario is we shut it down after a couple of months if there really is no interest.
