I'd like to point out that the Jeff's make two very good points. 1. The opposing opinions are in fact valid. Conflict is conflict, and drastic solutions or ultimatums rarely if ever make for a good end result. By working to acknowledge the feelings of other citizens, a more harmonious solution can be had for all. When the city sees the positive impact we have, they want to help. When they see our negative impact and hear our entitlement solutions, we are a pain they'd like to ignore. Never forget that this process should not be a argument or attack against citizens or city officials. Instead, it should be a collaborative effort, even when it feels one sided and unfair. Pushing for positivity will always show a better result than attacks and negativity. But patience is vital.
2. Fort Collins has an incredibly rich disc golfing history. Lets point out that the Edora course has been in place for almost two decades. There are literally THOUSANDS of disc golf players in Fort Collins. AND, never stop reminding people that one of the World Renowned Experts in all things disc and disc golf is our very own Bill Wright. The Wright Life is one of THE landmark businesses in Historic Old Town Square, and one of the figures that makes Fort Collins the very unique and desirable locations that it is. Bill Wright and the Wright life are as much a symbol of Fort Collins as New Belgium Brewery and alternative energy development. Without them we would be like any other cookie cutter town in America.
As painful as it might feel, resist the urge to attack the opposition and work toward a positive plea for the cause. Convince everyone that disc golf is an asset to all the citizens of fort Collins, and be willing to make concessions along the way. Just because your logic makes sense to you and your friends, doesn't mean it will sound good to other citizens. Motivate yourself and those around you!
Thanks to Jeff, Jeff, Rich, Pat, KC and everyone else who works toward a good solution for Fort Collins.

I agree fully with your comments, Mike. Thanks for stating these important points.
As club members, we need to be an example of the proper way of conducting ourselves out there. If we do this, hopefully it will rub off on the larger disc golfing community. The more positive we keep our interactions with other park users, the more likely the Parks Dept. is going to be to work with us.
