Ball golf limits players to 14 clubs. Can't switch any out during the game. Break one and you play with what you've got. Lose your putter, putt with your 3 iron. Why does disc golf allow so freakin' many discs per player? Wouldn't it make things more interesting if you had to think about your bag before a round? Sure would eliminate a lot of back strain too. Keep people from looking like Rodney Dangerfield out there!!!!! I keep hearing, "I've got a disc for every possible shot", but all I see people use is 3-4 discs the whole round. Just stirin' the pot.

I hear ya Mike. I'm guilty of carrying to many discs, a majority of them are duplicates. I really only use 4-8 different discs during a round, and remember when I was just starting and laughing at all the golfers with their "suitcases". I just thought it was so silly, and must say that it really is. Good point, maybe I should go back to my smaller bag, my game ain't any better with a bigger bag !!

Should help the disc golfing economy to encourage multiple acquisitions! Didn't mean to dis' anyone with large loads, just wondering how the rules came about. Obviously the local club isn't going to challenge existing law, but it just seems curious and someone surely has a passionate opinion here........

To me it makes sense. When you go O.B. in ball golf, you don't throw your golf club into the drink with the ball.
If ball golf had a limit on how many balls you could carry with you, then I could see the comparison. I'm not sure there's any kind of justification for Feldburg carrying 40 some discs in his bag, though. That would just be insanity.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!!!!!!
First of all.....Good point K.C. I think the debate should continue though. Sure would make things interesting if you did start seeing a severely dwindling quiver after numerous OBs. It's not like you're super competitive after 35 OBs anyway. Imagine finishing the tourney with nothing but your KC Aviar. There's a story to tell!
Second..........That video is messed up on so many different levels. There's no way he's only got 40 or so discs in there. I counted 30 on the bottom tier alone! Caddy? Caddy? Caddy? I think I just crapped myself. I thought caddies were a disc golf myth. We're talking about a game where the top money winner makes less than 25K. Who pays a caddy?
Guy ought to consider opening a driving range. That's what lots of beginners want. Just to stand in a big field and huk without chasing discs down every three throws.

hmmm... DG driving range... I'll have to add that to my list of things to do for my private disc club one day
plus it would be fun to engineer a disc picker upper :-D

It seems like a lot of equipment for a sport where the top guy makes $25K. You would spend all of your money going from place to place and would not be able to buy all the equipment without a job.
