The City of Fort Collins is having a series of meetings to discuss future park development, and has opened it up to the public for input. This is a great opportunity to show the city planners strong support for Edora, and that there is a need for more courses in town. It sounds like disc golfers have been basically non-existent recently when it comes to matters like these, and we need to, at minimum, make a strong showing so they know we are here and we care. We all know that there are tons of people in town that use this course, and that we could use (at least!) another 18 hole course in town! Who knows? Maybe we can make some progress here. The dates of the meetings are: Thursday, February 15th 5 - 6:30 p.m. or 7 - 8:30 p.m. (Snacks and refreshments will be served) Friday, February 16th 11:30 - 1 p.m. (lunch will be served) Location: 215 Mason Street (Community Room in the new City Office building) Call or write Craig Foreman, Manager of Park Planning and development to reserve your space: 221-6618 or e-mail Craig at cforeman@fcgov.com For some info on parks in town, how they are structured, and the distribution of amenities they offer, check out the city parks page: fcgov.com/parkplanning/?departmentsLet's show up en masse and make a good, lasting impression for our huge disc golf community! Dave is confirmed for the 15th late one, Bryan McEndaffer says he's going on the 15th (sounds like the early time) and I am scheduled to work, so I'm still up in the air. Glad to hear you'll be there doug. I'll be going to the late one on 15th if I can go. Come on people... Get in there and show some support! You know you want some free food ;D Just kidding. We could really use a bunch of bodies to show disc golfers mean business!!! KC
