Hey all, Winter Warriors are starting this weekend. If you're not familiar with this 13 week Saturday morning doubles series, it is a fundraiser for 2 different food banks, Arvada Food Bank and Food Bank of the Rockies. Randy Anderson started it 2 years ago as a way to keep getting people out after tournament season and during the winter months. It has been a big success. 05/06 raised about $2500, 06/07 raised over $2800, and that was with all that snow on the ground last year. It is played all over the front range, 9AM for local Denver courses, 10AM for courses outside the Denver area. $5 donation to play random draw doubles with optional $1 ace pool and $1 a shot for donated ctp prizes after the round. There are always some fun little twists; sidearm holes, putter holes, roller holes, anything to add to the fun! Here is the schedule: November 4 – Johnny Roberts – 9:00 am (The only Sunday scheduled) November 10 – Beaver Ranch – 10:00 am November 17 – Bird’s Nest – 6:00 pm – glo! November 24 – Lighthouse – 9:00 am December 1 – Edora – 10:00 am December 8 – Schaeffer – 9:00 am December 15 – Fort Morgan – 10:00 am December 22 – Badlands – 9:00 am December 29 – Aurora – 9:00 am January 5 – Widefield – 10:00 am January 12 – Paco – 9:00 am January 19 – Longmont – 10:00 am January 26 – Bird’s Nest – 9:00 am There is more info here: www.milehighdiscgolf.org We hope to see some of you out there, it looks to be another fantastic winter of disc golf on the front range! peace, Mike and Randy

Northern Warriors,
We're pimping ourselves on your site this year too. Hope you can make a few events! Sorry for the long first post but here you go...
A couple very important notes about this Saturday...
* No smoking on the course! - there is a designated area on top where you can have one before we start and maybe once during the round depending on which hole you start. If you can't make it a round without smoking please wait until next week. * Parking - there is a wedding this Saturday so we must park on the first trail head. It's easy to find. We'll meet on top of the hill to get started...where they had tourney central for the fundraiser. Sorry about the walk...but deal with it! We get to play an awesome course! * Dogs - please make sure dogs are leashed at all times. * Be nice - this is a shared open space area so please be nice to other users...especially equestrians. * Carpool if you can - parking is limited * Start time - 10:00 * Have fun!!!
Thank you in advance for following the rules above. There were a lot of people who spent a lot of time and effort getting this course installed. There's a little local opposition so the more respectful we are the better chance we have of keeping the course.
Some excellent directions from Ponto...
From Denver/Colorado Springs/Ft. Collins, from C-470 take SH-285 South and towards Fairplay approx. 15 miles. You will see a shopping center on your right with a Staples and Checker Autoparts. Approx. 1/8 mile past the shopping center, you'll exit onto Foxton Rd. (on your right). You’ll also start seeing signs to Beaver Ranch. Turn left at the stop sign and pass underneath 285. Turn left at the next stop sign and continue on Foxton Rd. Follow Foxton Rd. for approx. 1/4 mile. On your right you will see an entrance for Conifer Community Park at Beaver Ranch. Enter there and park on your left at the trailhead (across from small building and children's play structure).
See you Satruday!!
Randy

Fellas, Fort Morgan was a blast. Too bad you didn't make it out. How about this week at Badlands? Quick trip, north side of Denver. Randy
