~ From the homepage~ In the style of last year's successful 2009 Colorado State Championships in the hills of Northern Colorado, a new tournament has been born, using both the Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch and Sundance Trail Guest Ranch Disc Golf Courses. Taking place on June 5th and 6th, the weather will be perfect for some mountain disc golf! More details on this PDGA C-Tier tournament, including online registration, are posted on the Red Feather Open Event Page. Keep checking there for occasional updates as the tournament weekend nears. Please post any questions you may have about the tournament below:

I am in, but have not seen any updates to the PDGA registration list since I signed up 2 weeks ago. I know quite a few peole that are not signing up because of the apparent lack of intrest. If the board gets updated to show the true amount of players registered it will spike more intrest, at least I will be able to talk my circle of addicts to get in. Just my 2 cents
The way it looks like now is that the tourney will not even have a full group for any division. Which i know is not accurate because of the people I know that are not listed.

Entries are starting to come in now... I know we disc golfers like to procrastinate on this stuff. Anybody who is planning on playing but hasn't signed up yet should do so soon. Only the first 50 registered players will get a players pack, so don't wait too long! Beautiful mountain golf! Some of the best courses in the state! It's going to be sweet! Beaver Meadows will be challenging as always, and we are making some tweaks to Sundance that should make it even more fun. (not to mention green grass instead of snow) Seya there! Peace - Gramma

I just got signed up! Is there going to be anyone else camping? I'd like to join someone at there site or get one to split, $25 is a bit pricey for a tent site by myself. If I remember correctly they allow 4 people and one car per site, not sure how many tents though. Or if you have floor space for cheap in a room I'd do that too.
I'll probably be up there Friday, not sure if I can make doubles or not though, or give me a ring 303-669-8322. If I don't find someone to split accommodations I'll probably head up to the National Forest land and grab a spot.
see you all then, peace, -mike w

A big thanks to Evan for doing a great job of running this tournament. It attracted a good turnout for it's first year, and juggling one course is tough enough, let alone two courses, with many tough calls on each. I hear he was sick all weekend, too!
Also, congrats to all who shot well this weekend. Nice to see local player Brandon Owens nearly snag his first Advanced division win (ended up in 2nd after a 7 hole playoff with Casey Ortiz from Lakewood).
I had a blast, despite getting crushed by the Beav. Looking forward to next year!
