I played CLP yesterday and to my surprise the tree(branches)on hole 9 that block the basket was gone ! The actual tree is still there, but now the basket is wide open.

That happened a few months ago, I guess kids kept falling off of it so for liability they cut them. Bummer huh. Speed Round Records: -7, 4:38 (Mike Randolph, I know his time was somewhere in the 4:30's) -8, 5:07 (I can't seem to get the speed part yet):>)

Yeah that was the best tree in Colorado disc golf! Sucks! Is that what our society has come to?... that we have to cut down the trees to keep kids from climbing them... god forbid that a kid should climb a tree... they would be much better off vegitating in front of a TV... maybe they'll make a tree-climbing game for the Wii soon, that would be much more appropriate! Ridiculous! (sorry for the rant) - Evan

That's what I suspected the case was. Maybe we as people should just chop down every tree, so that we can keep our kids safe? DGA, I'm gonna start playing speed rounds here soon, so watch out, I'm playin through:-)!

Northern Colorado's best kept secret ;D It's behind a junior high school in Laporte. It's a nine holer, and it's good practice for your tree'd-putter-approach shots. Fun, but not long whatsoever. Once you play it you'll see why it can be ran in 5 minutes... pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=1864

ya it has a couple of those things that you see in the Midwest and the east coast courses. I think they are called trees...but the holes are only 100-250 so basically a putter/mid course.

yea, it's a pretty impressive little course considering. totally atypical for the great plains of the front range. just kinda out of the way for just nine holes.
it might be short, but it's got dense canopy and tight, narrow, obstructed shots. means you actually have to be able to throw straight and low like on.....well, none of the holes at Edora. No "Big Hyzer" in the woods!
when kids are around you also get the added bonus of looking like creepy-middle-aged-guy lurking around in the woods by the school yard! keep your discs plainly visible!
