we really need to set a work day to replace the 2 sleeves for the practice baskets. i almost brought the pin back to my house last night. the real issue isn't who f$%ked it up it's who has noticed there is a free baskey for the taking.

Bryan says the pole for the practice basket might be a different size than the other normal baskets so we need to investigate that problem before we put in a new sleeve. I'm down to help whenever with any course work. - Evan

I think temporarily the practice basket could be moved up into that position on the mound by the monument... just so it's locked in secure...

It's now in Hole one, super short. This was to avoid offending any visitors to the monument.

The city gets daily complaints from a lady that lives across the street when any baskets are near the memorial. Iraq war sentiment I believe.

Nice, a memorial to those who died, impeding others from enjoying life. Doesn't seem right... oh well, I guess it's just a symbol "and I leave symbols to the symbol-minded" - George Carlin

What needs to be done right now? There's currently been some mulching that's had an amazing impact at Edora, but it's not done. Let's establish a proper channel for people to contribute to this and other efforts. Whether it means "there's a pile of mulch at X spot, go move it when you get a chance" or "you all need to go through person X so we're all on the same page" or whatever. Let's make sure the mulching gets finished so that the city sees us as an asset to the parks sysytem and we see what we're made of. Oh yea, and let's make sure it's not all done by one or two people, even if they seem willing to. It would be selfish of us and they'll soon burn out. This is the kind of thing that I would list as "short term benefits", but if done well will help us immeasurably in the long run.

I'm with you Mike,
Rich and Bryan are terribly busy right now with things, yet they have found time to begin the mulching project. This was actually a test run to show the city people we are capable of doing a good job. The city has liked it so far, and Rich is waiting for the ok to go ahead with more. I'm sure they could use some help out there when the time comes.
Who wants to give them a hand? Post up a reply here if you can help out. We will probably send out an email to the whole mailing list as well.
Give back to the course that has given you so much... ;D

That was the idea KC give it a test and see what response we get. Do people like it? Does Parks like it? We're going to post a work day on the bulliton board if we get a good response.
