Registration is up and running for this year's RFO! When summer time rolls around, what's better than playing disc golf on great courses up in the mountains? Check out the event page: www.nocodiscgolf.com/Event_Info/redfeatheropen2012.htmlBe sure to pre-register. If you have any questions about the event, let me know. Hope to see you there! - Evan P.S. - I have tournament stamp fundraiser discs for sale. Gateway putters (Wizards, Warlocks, Voodoos, Magics). They look pretty sweet! Let me know if you are interested in checking them out.

After much consideration, we’ve decided to cancel the Red Feather Open (July 7-8) this year due to complications caused by the High Park Fire. All registered players will receive a full refund of their entry fee.
I apologize for the short notice, but after a lot of waiting and hoping, we feel this is the wisest course of action at this juncture. After the fire jumped the Poudre River (Hwy 14) this last weekend and destroyed many homes in the Glacier View area, near the Red Feather Road (CR 74E) and Sundance Trail DGC, holding the tournament became impractical. The Red Feather Road has been re-opened the last I heard, but there are sections where cars are only being allowed through with escorts. (In other words, if you don’t have a really good reason to travel that road, you probably shouldn’t) Hopefully the situation will improve, but if the fire flairs up again like last weekend, that road could easily be fully closed again. I spoke to Dan (Sundance Trail owner) and it was clear that they are very busy with their precautionary preparations and Frisbee golf is the last thing they need to think about at this time. Beaver Meadows remains open and well clear and safe from the fire, but the logistics of getting everyone there, with the main road in doubt, is still a major issue. In addition, both courses are in need of some substantial work to get them tourney-ready and because of road closures and everything, I have been unable to get up there to see to that. The fire and related issues could persist for the rest of the summer, and given the number of CO tournaments already on the schedule later in the season, we feel that a postponement is unrealistic. Hopefully all will be well with the fire and the courses and the RFO will return next year better than ever!
In the absence of the RFO, we will be holding a fundraiser event on Saturday, July 7th, at Edora Park in Fort Collins with all proceeds going to benefit the victims of the fire, and the ongoing fight against it. I’ll have more details about the event soon, but it should be a fun time and this is a way for the disc golf community to have a positive impact on this sad situation. I hope that everyone who planned to attend the RFO and many more can make it out and help us raise some funds.

A big thanks to those who donated their entry fees from the RFO to the fundraiser. Along with other donations and sponsorship, that has helped us get off to a good start in our fundraising efforts and we hope to raise a lot more at the fundraiser event. Here are some details for the event, I hope you all can make it out and help us do our part to support the community and the victims of the fire.
- Saturday, July 7th - 1 Round @ Edora Park, Fort Collins - Registration 9:00am, Start 10:00am - $15 Entry Fee (all divisions) - 27 holes (9 added) - $1 Mulligans - Great prizes for top finishers! - Custom Discs & Minis for sale!
It should be a lot of fun, with a cool 27 hole layout at Edora, and it's for a worthy cause! Hope to see you all out there

Our fundraiser event yesterday was a huge success! Thanks so much to everyone who came out and donated their time and money to support the victims of the High Park Fire. Here's the breakdown:
- We had 87 players! - We sold 835 Mulligans! ($1 each) - We also recieved almost $400 in other cash donations! - Overall we raised a total of $2530.00 for the cause!
I'm very proud and greatful to be a part of a disc golf community that cares so much about helping those in need! Thanks again!
