So I've been throwing some new discs and trying some new gear and I thought it would be cool to start a new thread on the subject.

1st. I just love the new Frenzy by Disc mania. It's amazing. I feel like this is a disc for the masses. From people with medium power to the big guns, this disc will get you up close to those long pins. This is the link. www.wrightlife.com/site/store/product-detail/1053/golf/disc_golf_drivers/ This is a disc that can be thrown flat and it will run forever. I have two in my bag and if you want to try it on a hole just ask me next time you see me out on the course.. Peace "The Bruce"

2nd The Vibram Ascent.. This is a overstable driver that has a good tacky feel. I saw their Youtube video on how they make the disc and its not like anyone else. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgYSzYaFZvA This disc flies like a Banshee or a X2. Overstable and slow. It has good grip even in the cold. There is not a lot of skip that you get with today's high speed drivers. I think this comes from the rubber type and the flex when it hits the ground. I couldn't find a spot for it in my bag. You guys let me know what you think.. Peace "The Bruce"

3rd I got to play the PS3 Move disc golf game at a friends house. For those of you who don't know the "move" it the PS3's answer to the Wii. The "move" is amazing. It picks up your movements so much better than the Wii. The game is called Sports Champions. this is a link www.gamespot.com/ps3/sports/sportschampions/index.html The disc golf is the best game.. But there all fun. The first time I played the game I was hooked and played for 8 hours straight. Its a great game and the move addition to your PS3 is pretty cheap considering. Try it out and let me know what you think. Peace "The Bruce"

4th Just like most disc golfers I'm always looking for the perfect bag. (Not that I could ever find one, but the fun is in the looking) I have just came across the latitude 64 pro bag. This thing is built like a brick outhouse. With lots of cool pockets and such. this is there link. www.latitude64.se/system/visa.asp?HID=716&FID=606&HSID=12194 this thing has it all, and is well thought out. Like the putter pocket. In the past you had the putter pocket in the center front of your bag, which meant if you wear a Quad shoc or other harness you had to reach back and feel around till you could get a grip on your putter. And if you had two putters you had to feel till you got the right one. With this bag its right on your hip. Also with a large front compartment you can hold a wind breaker or extra clothes. This bag is a little on the heavy side. I filled mine and it weighed in at 16lbs. Now if your a young buck this might seem like a walk in the the park (literally) but for someone like me this might not be my everyday bag. Check this hog out and let me know what you think. Peace "The Bruce"

thanks for the posts, Bruce!
Only new plastic in my bag recently is a Buzz SS and a Z Hornet. Buzz SS only stayed in the bag for a week - flies like a brand new X Buzz off the tee, but harder to grip, and it acts really stable on low-speed approaches. Couldn't get the hang of it.
Z Hornet is supposed to be right between the Wasp and Drone. For me its just slightly slower than the Wasp, and when it slows down it cuts harder, but it doesn't start turning nearly as quick as the Drone. I'm more confident throwing it directly into a headwind than either the Wasp or Drone. Lower profile rim than the Drone and no bead, making it (for me) more accurate off the tee. All in all a welcome addition to the bag.
I'm wondering if anyone's thrown the special edition Z Drone, and if it's any faster/less stable than the FLX Drone. Also curious if anyone's thrown the ESP Hornet (Ace Race disc) and how it compares to the Z Hornet.
On the subject of bags, I've had the DisCarrier for about 2 months and love it, it's huge and holds absolutely everything and weighs a ton, but I don't mind carrying it for serious rounds. I wanted the biggest bag I could find that wasn't the full backpack style.
I'm looking for a good super-light 5-6 disc bag for casual rounds.
Edit: Another thought: How does the new Innova Vulcan compare to the Frenzy? It looks pretty much identical?

I don't know how the Frenzy compares to the Vulcan. I only ever threw the Frenzy in proline plastic and the Vulcan is in star so I would like to see if it changed. Most discs become more overstable..

Just because I feel Like being a smart ass, 175 firebird with a flat top(not domey), grip it and rip it, Thumber or Forehand or a stable backhand
Just my two cents

So I got my hands on a new Scout, I say new because Gateway had a disc named the Scout before. This disc is a mid-range. It is very straight flying and will hold a nice anhyzer. I like this disc because it reminds me of the old MRV's. With a shallow lip it comes out of the hand cleanly. The one I have is in Proline or Gateways equivalent. I'm not sure that it will replace my Coyote in the bag, but definitely worth a look.. Peace, Bruce
