Glenn,
Thanks for vocalizing your suggestions!
In regards to your comment about the minutes and meetings not being posted:
You may not be familiar with it, but there is a link from the top left corner of all pages on the site to the club's event calendar. The leadership meetings have been posted on this calendar for the last 3 years. We also have league dates/times, and club tournaments posted there too (although I haven't had a chance to add this year's events in yet). If you use a Google calendar yourself, you can even choose to sync the two calendars together so that the club's events show in your personal google calendar. Pretty cool, right?
Minutes from the leadership meetings weren't posted because no one wanted to be Secretary and take notes at the meetings. I agree that that is a failure on the part of the leadership, but there was a feeling among those involved that no one was listening or cared, so I can see why it didn't get done. We had posted the meeting minutes diligently four and five years ago, but for the above mentioned reasons this did fall off. A few people have done the job of Secretary well throughout the years, but they've come and gone from the leadership team. Danny has really stepped up in that role this year, so your compliments are truly deserved for him. Any minutes that get recorded will be posted on the site for you all to see, for now I have them on the Contact page (on the sidebar on the left), but will find a more suitable place for them in the future. I will post a link to them on the homepage each month when they are posted so no one misses them.
I, too, am glad to see some activity on the boards. As Evan said, if there is no involvement from the club members, positive or negative, then the leadership doesn't feel like anyone is paying attention or cares. By all means, please voice your accolades as well as your suggestions, as it shows that the members are paying attention.
