Yes, what Evan said. As long as you do it before tourney weekend.
If you're asking with respect to the PDGA, I'm not sure, but I believe they do discount the $10 from the full price if you decide to sign-up after you receive your temp membership.

what if the snow at oxbow does not melt in time to put the permanent baskets in? will the setup be like the fundraiser was pretty much?

Ostertip:
As far as I know, we do not have a lunch sponsor at this point. Many times we do, so this could change. As of now make alternate plans to either bring lunch or leave for lunch after the first round.
Cdisc:
At least 12 of the holes (the holes that will go in permanently) will look very similar to the fundraiser set up, as these will be their future positions. There will probably be a few small tweaks. The order of play will most likely change on a couple holes to avoid cross over. Hopefully the snow will give us a break and that won't be an issue.

Final players list is on PDGA. Let me know if anyone catches a mistake (wrong PDGA #, division, misspelled name, etc.) My waiting list as of today is:
Jacob Behlow Joshua Byers Adam Sturm Mike Oliveros Nick Usher Matthew Setzer Lindsey Betts Daniel Groblebe Lori Kret Robert Silva
Last year only one player ended up dropping out, so if your name is past 4 or 5 on the waiting list, your chances of getting in are slim.
As for lunch... I am not planning on having lunch provided. I wanted to keep entry fees low, and pay out high, so players will be on their own for lunch. We might organize some muffins or donuts and coffee for breakfast, though.
The plan for Oxbow is to have the 12 permanent holes in the ground by the tournament, and set up 6 temp holes to make 18 total. If we are unable to get the course in a playable condition by the tournament, the backup plan is play Edora on Sunday.
Other than that, just stayed tuned for updates as we get closer to kicking off the 2010 season!
Peace.

This has been a popular question lately. Be aware that we will notify everyone when the baskets are in the ground and playable. Trust me, no one wants this course in the ground more than I do. It's not as if we are dragging our feet, we are simply waiting on the Windsor parks department to give the okay. In my mind, things are now dry enough to do work, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow at the earliest. Evan and I laid out the extra holes over the weekend and checked the status of the course. In our opinion, it's ready, but it isn't our call. The best thing to do at this point is to be patient.

i did sign up for the pdga but did not see anything that i could deduct the $10 for having a temp membership Since you paid the $10 temp fee when signing up for this tournament, and have since then joined the PDGA as a full, yearly member, you'll want to email brandon@nocodiscgolf.com (the TD) for more details and to arrange a refund. I would imagine that he hasn't sent anything to the PDGA, so he could probably help you with that.

Yes, you should get the $10 refunded. I'll make a note of it and get it taken care when you check in.

I realize you are waiting on the parks dept. to get permission to install baskets.... Any chance they will be in by this weekend? Or are tee and possible pin locations marked at all?
Thanks for all the quality info!

Will the format for the meltdown for the Edora rounds be 18 holes each round or more?

The Parks people are scheduled to dig the holes and stuff today, so if all goes well we should get the baskets in in the next few days. It looks likely that the course will be playable for this weekend. We'll make an official announcement when it's all ready to go. The 6 extra holes for the tournament (permanent course is 12 holes) won't be in until the day of, but I'll try to see if we can post a course map or something so that people can walk through them.
Keep in mind, only one round of 18 will be over in Windsor. The other two rounds will be at Edora. I'm not absolutely sure what Brandon has planned for the Edora layout. I think he's planning on using the old west end of the park, as usual, and I think he's plannin on more than 18 holes... maybe 21-22. I'll try to get that info available by this weekend as well.
