Lost & Found items... what to do with them?
What if a golfer finds an item that belongs to a general park user? How about a general park user that finds something belonging to a golfer? They may endeavor to find the owner, but how? What do they do with that item?
There are multiple options of course... they could post flyers in the park, use the classified ads in the newspaper, post a notice on Craigslist, etc. It's unlikely that the general park user would know to view our message forum in their search for the item or it's owner. It's also unlikely that they would think to look for items (such as lost keys) inside the bulletin board, or hanging from the outside of the board.
Because we as a collective don't have the ideal infrastructure to operate a Lost & Found, I think we should direct that public service towards the staff of EPIC.
I suggest that we post a highly visible Lost & Found sign inside the bulletin board. The primary words "Lost & Found" should be easily noticed from the parking lot, and in smaller text it should direct people to the Edora Pool Ice Center front desk.
At EPIC they have the staff to respond to inquiries, an easily accessed location, and locked storage facilities.
I've personally helped many people search for their keys or phone, and in several instances the item had already been turned over to the staff at EPIC.
Of course I would still encourage people to post messages to the forum (and post flyers, etc.) to get the word out, so there are many more eyes engaged in the search.

The problem I see is this. From what I have seen from teenagers that work at facilities like this is they go to the lost and found and just take things out themselves, or if there is something they like, the owner comes in and asks for it, they say nope, its not here. Then they take it.
Maybe it is just myself having bad luck. Either way, good post and I think it should be addressed.
