Adam Sturm has requested some NoCo locals come challenge him for the #6 NoCo tag, which he recently obtained. He lives in Denver somewhere, I bet you could find him on the Mile High site if you're heading that way (Denver has some fun courses if you've never checked them out).

It's a NOCO tag, how about you play in the NOCO towns. He can come get some... I'll be here... Waiting... If it was a MILE HIGH tag then that's cool. All these people buy are tags and then split. I am happy that the club gets revenue but this get a tag then there never seen again is lame. If people want to buy a tag because we have the sickest looking tags out there. That's cool, but we should make blanks with no #. Maybe at half price or something. So people can still appreciate the tag and the locals can still compete against each other.

I feel you there, Bruce. I think the deal is, Adam lived here earlier this year but moved? I could be wrong. Either way, someone's got to go and get our number 6 back!!! Condor is asleep at the wheel this year...

I am starting to learn how much tags mean to some people. I would say that there should definately be a set of tags for those that feel desperately about tags. I think it can be fun to play for the tags available but it seems like there is some kind self worth that is attributed to tags that cause angst. Everyone just repeat after me..."I am a good golfer and I don't need a tag to prove it" say this into a mirror over and over until it sinks in. and "people like me" think snl

The thing is that it generates money for the the club, without it we would be hard pressed to do things. I am fine with my disc golf game. I just think it is fun to have a top ten match more than once every two months. Just looking to push my game and play for something. I don't get to play tournaments or travel anymore.

I am aware that memberships/tags are a source of income for the club. I am also aware that having an income for the club is important. The more tags sold the merrier, no strings attached. Playing for tags should be fun.

The #1 MH tag was in NoCo for a while, and while there was some bs about it, on the whole we don't mind our tags being out everywhere. Doesn't Mitch have a low NoCo tag also, like #2? If you want a set of tags for "out-of-towners" then where do you draw the line? We live halfway between Denver and Fort Collins.

All I know is that when the guys from NOCO went to the last Denver tournament they wouldn't even play for NOCO tags. That's what I was told by multiple people. I guess it's not that important with weekly tag matches scheduled will just have to made do with what we have. I am a good golfer no matter what my tag says. Right DGA

Well, I'm sorry that happened. I typically collect MH and NC tags at any event I go to, and then take care of distributing them at the end. My best guess is that that happened at Denver Classic, and I wasn't there. It takes someone willing to collect and distribute all tags. I do remember Mitch trying to find the NoCo folks at the end of that tournament to figure out tags.
I understand that tag play is important to some people, which is why I collect and distribute tags at most tournaments. I'm willing to do NoCo since I know most of the players, and most of the NoCo guys have MH tags too. That and when Pat Lien asks me all nice like, how can I refuse?
But yes, the point has already been made, tag play should be for fun and you shouldn't let the number on your bag go to your head.

These are some of the reasons to get a good turnout at the final tag match in December!!! That way it doesn't matter what tag you had all year, it only matters what you finish with! Then you can hang it from you bag (or wall, or ear) forever! Last year we only had around 12 players (yes, only 12) for our final tag match, and that was with a free $100 ace pot that we CTPeed after the round, paying three spots, chances of winning 25% (pretty good for a CTP IMO)
So lets get the buzz out now for the last tag match and get a huge turnout! I want to see every tag 1-10 at least this year! And 2010 tags will be available for the first time at this event!

Sturm is playing States, so I'm sure he will bring his tag there.
