Ok, so I found a good website for Difficult Campground (Aspen). It shows availability and campground site map and everything. If you plug in the dates (July 17 - 2 Nights) it will show what sites are still available. www.reserveamerica.com/camping/map_of_Difficult_Campground_Grp_Sit_Co/r/campgroundMap.do?camparea=82268964&contractCode=NRSO&parkId=70058It looks like the area around sites 21,22,25 was where most of the NoCo golfers were last time and where we were playing putting games and stuff, I think. I don't think we want to be in the section of sites 1-9 since that is closer to the entrance and authorities... We should either go for that same area of sites 20,21,22, 25 or sites 11,13,14,15. 21,22,25 is more on the outskirts of the campground, so might be best. Opinions? Camping on top of the mountain sounds interesting... the weather could be worse, but it would be cool. I would only want to do it if a bunch of other people were down. Part of the fun of camping is having a bunch of golfers together, to party and have fun. If we're going to do Difficult, we need to decide which group of sites we want and go ahead and reserve them asap. Who all is in to camp... we should try to get a headcount. FYI - Bill says the tournament is already starting to fill up, so get your registration in soon!

Sorry CJ, what do you expect from an old gramma?
So we have Johnson, Gramma, A.J., KC... who else is playing and wants to camp?
2 Cars allowed per site... so let's keep that in mind too.

Diersen, lance and I are all down to camp. I saw that Rocky is registered too--haven't spoken to him but I assume he will want to camp as well.

Scooped up 25 for myself. That'll give us another parking spot if needed, as well as some extra sites for stragglers. This is a family site :-p
It's on! NoCO taking over Aspen!!!

Fellas,
This is Nick Arseniak from C. Springs. Do you guys have any open spots or should I try and get this camping spot #20? I think I'm the only clown showing up from the Springs so am looking for a place where everyone is crashing. Sounds like this is the spot.
Thanks, Nick

What's up Nick! So far I have three people at my campsite (21 or 22... I forget which) It sounds like cars (limit 2 per site) are more of an issue than tents. Anyway, we probably have room for you at one of our NoCo sites. Regardless, the whole campground will be filled with golfers (it always is) so I'm sure you'll be able to get in on somebody's site, either way.

Evan,
Thanks for the reply. I'll probably be one of THOSE guys, trying to get into any random open spot. I saw all the sites have been reserved for the weekend. May just leave my ride somewhere in Aspen and mooch a ride up if parking is going to be a problem.
Thanks, Nick
