From the homepage:
The time has come for our annual elections, and we need you to seriously consider helping the club continue to grow in the next year. We are at a turning point; a handful of our most motivated members have served for years, and are now ready to pass the reins to the next group of local players to build and promote the game. The positions of President, Vice President and Secretary will be vacated by those currently holding these positions.
For those considering helping out, know that the time commitment is minimal. It is what you make of it, and the more people who step up to help, the less any one person needs to do. It is a great feeling to give back to the club and the game that has provided you with so much enjoyment throughout the years. It is also interesting to see the inner workings of the events you've come to enjoy.
The elections will take place at 6:00 pm, Tuesday Sept. 2nd at Edora Park hole 1, which will also be the awards night for Summer League. More information will be posted in the Club Forums, and this will be the best place to ask any questions you might have regarding the elections.
Thanks for being a member of the club, and hence being a big part of the local disc golf scene. Remember, this club runs on 100% volunteer power, and it will only be as successful as those who get involved.

We would like to fill as many of our officers/directors positions as possible at the election, however any spots that aren't filled we can attempt to fill as the year goes on. Here is the list of available positions: ViewDownloadFor those who want to help out, but don't want a specific title, you can volunteer to be on the board of directors and help make decisions and assist in any way you desire! For those who haven't been a part of our elections before, rarely is a race contested, as we normally only have one person volunteer for each position. There hasn't been a need for formal voting for a while, so we just do a voice vote of those in favor/against, which seems to work great. If we get a contested race, we'll do some form of actual voting. If anyone has any questions about the elections or "running for office", I'd prefer they get asked/answered here for everyone else's info, but you can PM me too if you prefer. Thanks peeps

I think I speak for everyone in giving all the current board members a HUGE thank you for all that you have done for the club this year!
How many "board members" do you normally have? From reading the descriptions, it sounds like something I would like to do.

That's great to hear you might be interested Bill.
We normally have anywhere from 2-5 board members at the meetings, which has been a good number so far. We could probably have as many as 7 in addition to the officers without getting too crazy and convoluted. In my opinion, at this point the more the merrier!
Thanks for your consideration, Bill.
PS: Sorry for mis-pronouncing your name up till now. Chad straightened me out...
