Ok, while we're talking about fun "rules riddles"...
A player throws his first shot wide and right, but it is visible and easily found.
His next shot he throws a tomahawk over dense trees to somewhere near the basket. None of the group sees it after it breaks downward. They look for the allotted 3mins. then call it lost.
He goes back to his previous lie, throws nearly the same shot, and while looking for this re-throw, he finds his original upshot.
Which disc does the player then play out?
Assuming he makes the putt from the correct spot, what will his score be?
JMart, I'm sure you know this one, so give the others a chance to play... ;D

I would assume he makes par because the re-throw would be considered a provisional and when finding both disc the player would be allowed to play the first disc. Is this correct??

He plays out the re-throw disc. His score is 5. The re-throw is not a provisional unless declared as such (which would not be permitted after the original disc is declared lost). Once the original disc is declared lost, the player receives a penalty throw and continues with a re-throw from the previous lie. I don't believe the rules carry any provision for subsequently rescinding the penalty or the re-throw if the lost disc is later found. I'm sure he would be happy to have his disc back, though -Phil
