Come out for spring "league" at Edora @ 5:30. It's not so much of a league, since no records are kept and no prizes are given at the end. BUT, it is a time to get your game into league/tourney mode for the summer. I'll be there to oversee things, as long as my schedule allows, but I think anyone who's played in our summer league can run the show on any given night until summer league begins. I propose a weekly majority decision regarding the stakes. If the majority wants to play for just tags, we'll play for just tags, or both $ + tags. I think it's good way to acquaint newer players, who are interested in playing summer leagues/tourneys, with league/tourney rules/format. I think this will be a invitation to newbies w/o the intimidation factor which prevents some from playing in club events/leagues. If someone wants to formalize the spring leagues, I'm down w/ that, but it's almost too late to do so this year. So come out and at least bring your tag, and $5, if you can.

We haven't re-started any weekly leagues yet this season... though it is about time we did. We typically have a Tuesday night league at Edora. For the Summer months, Tuesday nights are a points series, with nightly prizes and overall prizes at the end of the summer. We usually do a Tuesday nights in the spring and fall as well, but just as nightly thing with no series. We used to do Sunday afternoon leagues, but this season we are trying monthly tournaments instead. Most years we have a weekly Thursday night random draw doubles at Edora or elsewhere, which is a lot of fun. Summer Tuesday league will happen I'm sure... the others depend somewhat on somebody stepping up and committing to running them. I did Thursday Doubles last season. Stay in touch... I'm sure we'll get some weekly stuff going here soon. - Evan

bmastre:
In theory, yes you can join the club on Tuesday, however I need to find someone who will be at Tuesday's consistently and give them some membership materials.
Who will be at most Tuesday nights until early June?
As far as I have heard, people are now meeting at Edora hole 1 at 5:30pm for league/tag play.

1st, read the very 1st post in this thread.
I'll continue to run Tuesdays again this year, unless anyone objects. I've fixed my schedule to have Tuesdays off and will be out there regardless. I'll try to have some extra tags/towels to register new NCDGC members too. Please be at the course by 5:15 or earlier so that we can get everyone signed in and ready to go by 5:30. It's still gonna be close, daylight wise.

Our Tuesday Night Summer league offers all divisions, from Beginner to Pro. It is a series over the summer, so you compete against players within your division each night and over-all for the summer. Nightly prizes and prizes for the series. Tags should be available for purchase at League... or you can set up a time to meet with somebody to buy one (can do that through this website or whatever). League is a lot of fun, as we keep track of stats and you can track your progress over the summer. Come on out! Random Draw Doubles on Thursday night too!

Spread the Word! 2011 Spring League will start on March 15th at 5:30 at Edora Park. Registration CLOSES at 5:20, so don't show up at 5:30 expecting to register. We need to start on time because daylight is still a concern. $5 Entry fee (includes Ace Pool) for all divisions: Open, Adv. Am, Intermediate., Women, & Jr's. Don't forget your tags! Grow the sport- bring a friend that plays disc golf, but hasn't played a league before. 2011 membership packages should be available at Edora on 3/15, if you don't already have a tag. Tuesdays are for blasting!

After further consideration, Spring League will start at 5pm, instead of 5:30, for the 1st month or so. We're starting SL weeks earlier than in years past so an earlier start is necessary. Registration will start at 4:30 and close at 4:50, teeing off at 5 sharp.
