Has the club ever considered holding clinics for technique or to improve drives, putts, hyzers vs anhyzers etc? It seems that this would be a good opportunity for the club to reach out to more players and help improve the game overall.
We have some very good players that could share their knowledge on how to perform various shots and techniques.

Thanks for the suggestion Todd....and yes we have thought of this and I believe are going to be doing this for the May monthly which essentially will be a community outreach event where we will have a BBQ by hole 3/4 and some lessons going on throughout the entire day. Any suggestions over specific things throws or techniques that you would like see would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the reminder we need to start preparing and advertising for this as well.

Hi Pat,
It is nice to hear that we will be holding clinics etc. It might also be good to talk about general course management and taking care of the grounds.
As far as clinics I would suggest different throwing techniques (forehand and backhand), drives, putting, hyzer and anhyzer etc.
I know I would be interested in the throwing clinics as well to get tips from the good players on how they execute shots or improve consistency or distance.

I think that I am a better teacher then a player . And on the weekends that I don't have my son I am more than happy to go out and do what I can to help new disc golfers.

I'd like to start doing lessons, or teaching in some fashion. I've been fortunate enough during my disc golf career to learn from some of the biggest legends in the sport (Scott Stokely, John Schiller, etc.) one-on-one as well as playing with and competing against most of the top Pros in the game. I think I would prefer to work with players individually one-on-one, rather than conducting clinics to a group. The general advice that can be found at a clinic is a good starting point, but everybody is different and can usually benefit more from individual analysis and advice. I plan on doing some research and exploration of the current DVD's and other disc golf teaching resources that are on the market, eventually developing a more formal method for conducting lessons and such. For now, I'd love to work with anybody who is looking for some help. We can get together and work on whatever aspect of the game you'd like to. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to contact me. Even good players can benefit from some advice, don't be shy. - Evan Brummet evanjabr@aol.com V.P. - NCDGC
