Does anyone ever play here? I've seen scant few people wandering around this "course" in the last two years. In my opinion, the course is a waste. They don't even mow, which is either an effort to reclaim the area as more natural, or some kind of statement to the disc golfers. Though I think it would be odd, the latter seems probable since all the surrounding fields (property of CSU) are regularly mowed. I have three proposals: 1. Spread the course out, crossing the street and playing around the ropes course and even into the big commercial lot (CSU Owned) south of the community garden that's got some elevations and a wooded irrigation canal. Perhaps a course with the understanding that it is "temporary" in case they plan to develop the land. They'll obviously be worried that a successful course could stand in the way of $$$ commercial development later. 2. Find another piece of CSU property, possibly around the foothills campus/football stadium/CDC area and convince them to move the baskets. There's thousands of acres of CSU land in Larimer county. 3. See if they'll just sell the baskets. Either the club could buy them or individual looking for a backyard hole. This is with the thought that CSU would just as soon wash it's hands of disc golf. What does anyone think? ?? Slam me, jamb me, d**n me. All opinions wecome and encouraged.

Completely agree. It's truly a waste. Thousands of dollars in baskets just sitting idle.
I totally agree about the area around the football stadium, or perhaps a little further north towards the Engineering Research Center? or how far back does the Equestrian Center property extend around overland and elizabeth?

You go too far north of the stadium and you get shot, literally. CDC and CSU's high level biosecurity research facility. And watch out for rattlesnakes.
But, point well taken. Look at every posibility. Don't discount something just because it isn't an idyllic, hilly, rocky, heavily forested preserve with scattered ponds. Those were all taken by the millionaire real estate developers!
If you build it, they will come. If you hold out for a better project......
